If you are facing issues while running the app, follow the troubleshooting steps below based on your case.
Timer is not clickable / not running
- Ensure that you are assigned to a project. Without selecting a project, you can't start the timer. It will remain gray. You need to select a project to track time under.
- If your organization’s subscription is paused, the timer may not start. Let the support team know the organization's name in chat/email, and they can check it for you. You can also directly reach out to the admin.
- An existing timesheet may prevent the timer from running. It will show that the timer started, but it gets stopped after a second. Check if you have added a manual timesheet earlier. Go to Timesheet > Daily from the web app to check if there are any existing timesheets.
Not seeing any screenshots or activity
- Screenshots and activity tracking are available only in the desktop app. The mobile app or Chrome extension does not track any screenshots or activities.
- If you are using a Mac, you may have missed the permission pop-ups shown after installing Apploye. Without the permissions, apploye can't capture screenshots/activity in Mac. Please follow this guideline to give permissions.
Time/Activity not syncing properly to dashboard (web app)
Syncing issue can happen in our older version of the desktop app. Please check your current app version and ensure that you are using the latest version of the app. Please use this help article to check for updates.
If you want older time to sync, you can click on the "Sync" button, on the bottom right corner of the desktop app.
💡
Note: The timer needs to be stopped temporarily, to click on the "Sync" button. If you are tracking time, it will remain unclickable.
